The Record-Courier reported yesterday that Grocery Outlet bargain market and Bealls department store had submitted plans for design review to the county for the space formerly occupied by Scolari’s. The R-C later in the day confirmed that Grocery Outlet is coming down, and planning for an early-summer 2014 opening.
KOLO Channel 8 in Reno is reporting that Charter is having broad-ranging issues with cable television this morning. Many channels are apparently frozen and they are working to fix it.
It’s 16 degrees outside right now, and should actually eclipse the freezing mark today with a high of 33. The gradual climb will continue deep into next week, with a high of 54 forecast for next Wednesday.
Tonight is the Douglas High School music program’s Christmas concert, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons. It will feature the concert band, jazz band, Madrigal singers and women’s choir. Admission is free.
Tomorrow at 6 a.m., the annual KTVN Channel 2 Share Your Christmas Community Food Drive kicks off with a dropoff location in the Carson Valley Inn parking lot. All proceeds stay in Carson Valley with the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day!
