The educational and fun tasting class will cover five of the seven Sangioveses and will be followed by a five-course wine dinner with Rusty Folena, Winemaker.
The five-course dinner includes appetizer: Chilled Lobster atop Potato Slice, Blood Orange and Lime with 2012 Frivolo Silver Medal; First course: Seared Radicchio With Rattlesnake and Rabbit Sausage, Romanesco Sauce and a 2012 Pinot Grigio Silver Medal; Second course: Venison Ravioli with Blackberry Wine Glaze and a 2010 Sangiovese Silver Medal; Third course: Pork Braciole with Ragu and a 2009 Old Grandpere Vineyard Zinfandel Gold Medal; and Fourth course: Almirante Poached Pear, Chantilly Cream, Caramelized Snap Basket, Hazelnut and a NV Almirante (Port) DBL Gold Medal.
