We’re looking at a high of 74 today with light winds in the afternoon. It’s the warmest it’s going to be in the Valley for a while with temperatures dropping into the 50s and 60s for the rest of the week with a chance of showers Tuesday night Wednesday.

Overnight lows will continue to hover right around freezing.

Results and photos from Sunday’s Run Ed Run event are posted here. Photographer Brad Cockman was out all day and has many photos posted to his site at www.brad21photo.com. He’s donating the proceeds from any digital downloads he sells back to the Douglas County Education Foundation.

The Douglas High Marching Band claimed first place in its division at the McQueen Extravaganza on Saturday. Video of the band’s performance is posted here.

Carson Valley Times contributing writer Scott Neuffer’s latest feature will be posted this afternoon. He takes an in-depth at doing business in Carson Valley during the past several years. It’s a good read and one worth coming back for.

We’ll also be out at University of Nevada football coach Brian Polian’s Quarterback’s Club luncheon at Carson Valley Inn later this morning.

In the coming days, we’ll be making some minor changes to the Carson Valley Times site, just to improve some organizational structure and efficiencies – hopefully making the product more readable for you. If you have any suggestions or ideas for what we should be doing, or how we should be doing it, please feel free to send your thoughts along to joey@carsonvalleytimes.com.

Make sure to check back throughout the day as well for the latest in whatever we come up with.
