The Carson Valley Inn features free live entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge on Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 to 10 p.m., Thursday from 7:00 to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 1 a.m. As a courtesy to the Inn’s many sports fans, live entertainment is delayed as appropriate for certain major sports events so they may be viewed to their conclusion on the HD pull-down screen. Also, live entertainment is not held on Sunday and Monday nights during the regular NFL football season so we can show the Sunday Night and Monday Night Football games on the HD pull-down screen.

Dale Poune, September 10 – 11:  Dale plays guitar, dobro, mandolin and bass. An accomplished vocalist with a variety of musical styles, he has performed with the Fortunes, Buddy Miles, The Coasters and The Drifters – and is currently working with Lacy J. Dalton.

The Blues Monsters, September 12 – 14:  The Blues Monsters rocked the CVI’s Valley Sky Theatre in a free concert in mid-August and now they are returning for three nights in the Cabaret Lounge! A red-hot rockin’ blues band performing a powerfully unique combination of R&B, funk, jazz, and Chicago-style blues, this one is a “don’t miss.” Whether paying respects to the masters of traditional blues, or rockin’ out other tunes, The Blues Monsters get the whole house up and dancing!

Paul Covarelli, September 17 – 18:  Veteran musician Paul Covarelli is a talented guitarist and vocalist. He started the group Jo Mama over 20 years ago and also plays with other groups in the area covering jazz, swing, blues, Latin and more styles.

Decades, September 19 – 21:  Decades presents a vibrant and diverse act from Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” to Katy Perry’s “California Girls.”  Decades’ 4 part harmonies and energized rhythm section truly shine when playing hits from the 1950’s to today.  The group includes Samantha Francis (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ben Ruttenberg (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Billy DiBono (drums, vocals), Will Watje (guitar, sax, vocals), and Tobias Brooks (bass, guitar, vocals).

Carolyn Dolan & Friends, September 26 – 28: Carolyn Dolan has been entertaining audiences for over twenty-five years with a soulful vocal style – and her ‘bluesy’ harmonica always by her side. Her musical versatility is evident as she performs hits ranging from Jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerlad; Frank Sinatra; Country’s beloved Patsy Cline, Rosanne Cash and Hank Williams; to the more soulful, blues and R&B styles of Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Bonnie Raitt.  Joining Carolyn onstage are Peter Supersano on keys and Paul Coverelli on guitar and vocals.

George Pickard, October 1 – 2:  George is an accomplished performer, believable impressionist, captivating entertainer and successful song writer. He co-wrote “What Did You Do with Your Old Forty Fives” for Bobby Vinton and backed up many acts from the fifties and sixties including The Shirelles, The Diamonds and The Platters. He was also one of the Kingsmen (Louie, Louie) for a while. George has played the Fillmore in San Francisco with acts such as Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company and Jefferson Airplane.

Live Comedyreturns to the up-close setting of the Valley Ballroom on Thursday, October 3 starring Dan St. Paul and featuring Tony Dijamco. Doors open 7:00 p.m. and the show starts 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are just $10 (includes one drink) at the Carson Valley Inn hotel desk or call 775-783-6606. This show is 21 or over.

Chili Sauce, October 3 – 5:  Chili Sauce is a tasty new flavor of musical entertainment.  While favoring the R&B dance music of the 70’s and 80’s, the group also performs early classic Soul and rock ‘n’ roll with influences from groups ranging from the Beatles and Van Halen to Stevie Wonder and Prince.  Sit back and enjoy or stand up and dance as this lively quartet cooks up a spicy groove with a little “Chili Sauce.”

Brian Andrews, October 8 – 9: One of Northern Nevada’s top Elvis Impersonators, Brian Andrews presents his “King and Friends” show featuring Elvis and the people he performed with. Brian’s history of the King also includes impersonations of many of his friends in the entertainment field such as Dean Martin, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Nat King Cole, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Richie Valens, Ricky Nelson, The Everley Brothers and Chuck Berry.

Midnight Express, October 10 – 12: Midnight Express is a 4-piece band with three strong lead vocals. The group entertains with classic rock, country rock and blues – everything from ballads to dance music.
