Brad Cockman caught a few pictures of the smoke rising off the Carson Range this afternoon.

Douglas County put out this update earlier in the afternoon: “The Stutler fire (North of the Faye-Luther fire yesterday) is starting to put up a lot of smoke. We are working on it now and will be getting more resources up to it as the day progresses. Thank you for all your calls and concerns and we will keep you posted should conditions change.”

The last update from Sierra Front Interagency dispatch said the Faye Fire was at a quarter-acre, but that was from much earlier in the day.

We’ll continue to  keep an eye out and let you know what we hear.
