GE Bently Military Appreciation Fair Sunday

GE’s Bently Nevada will host its second annual appreciation fair for United States veterans July 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The event provides an opportunity for veteran support organizations and local businesses to educate veteran and military families about the resources available to them.

At the same time, GE will be hosting the Hiring Our Heroes Job fair. The event features local businesses that are actively hiring.  Hiring Our Heroes is part of GE’s national commitment to hire over 5,000 veterans by 2017.

This year’s event is being presented in conjunction with the Reno-Tahoe Open as part of the Northern Nevada Salute the Troops Week. The event is free of charge and will offer several activities geared toward families. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

GE’s Bently Nevada site located at 1631 Bently Parkway South, Minden, NV 89423.

The event is open to the general public, especially service men and women and their families. Veteran job seekers are strongly encouraged to attend.

Representatives from the GE Veterans Network, an employee group made up of veterans and supporters, will be available on site for interviews. Honored keynote speakers will also be in attendance.
