It’s been a busy week on the cycling front across the region. Approximately 3,000 cyclists participated in the Death Ride in Alpine County last week, and our local Alta Alpina Cycling Club competed in a dual match criterium with the Reno Wheelmen in Reno last night.

Alta Alpina will host the Eagle Ridge Circuit Race Thursday night. For more information on that, visit www.altaalpina.com

Then, the second-annual Little City Stage Race is set for this weekend, with a criterium around downtown Minden starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and the Diamond Valley Road Race and Time Trial on Sunday. For more information on those races, visit www.littlecitystagerace.com.

The Saturday criterium is particularly spectator-friendly, with competitors looping around Minden Park and beyond repeatedly for the better part of the day.
