We’re looking at a high of 93 again Tuesday in Carson Valley, according to the National Weather Service, but today the smoke is really going to start to come into play, with widespread haze and areas of smoke in the forecast.

Winds from the southwest will continue to push the firefighting efforts north and east this afternoon as again gusts will reach up to 25 mph at least.

Complicating matters, after a high of 90 tomorrow, the National Weather Service reported a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms in the Pinenuts starting Thursday and continuing into Friday. And as we all know, the last thunder storm in the Valley sparked the Bison Fire.through

Overnight lows will range in the 50s through the rest of the week while the daytime highs will drop to the high 80s and low 90s through at least nect Monday.
