Myers lands in Cambridge
Douglas grad and two-time Northern 4A Regional Basketball Player of the Year Hunter Myers has arrived in Cambridge, Mass., and is already making himself at home on the court.
Myers, Douglas High’s valedictorian this past year, verbally committed to Harvard last fall and will play for the Crimson this upcoming year.
He is on campus already, working at a job a bioengineering lab in Harvard’s engineering department.
Harvard is coached by former Michigan and Seton Hall head man Tommy Amaker (also a former All-American point guard at Duke). The Crimson enjoyed a Cinderella season this last year, knocking off third-seeded New Mexico in the first round of the NCAA tournament. It was Harvard’s first NCAA Tournament win.
Myers is expected to contribute to a squad that is ranked in the top 25 nationally by some publications in early polls for next season.
