Day 2 of our venture and we were overwhelmed by the initial welcome. Thanks so much to everyone for checking in. As you look around and happen to see anything missing, or that needs some attention, please shoot us an e-mail at joey@carsonvalleytimes.com. We’ll address it promptly.

Last night, Valley ER doctor Noah Kaufman became the de facto hero of the season premiere of American Ninja Warrior on NBC, after he rushed to the aid of an injured fellow contestant and popped his shoulder back into joint.

He successfully completed his run on the grueling obstacle course about 30 minutes later and advanced to the next round of the show. He’s been in contact with us and we’ll be talking with him at some point this week, so keep an eye out for that.

Today, there’s not a ton on the docket. Main Street Gardnerville meets for its monthly morning coffee upstairs at Sharkey’s at 8:30 a.m. And then, of course, you’ve got the Minden Farmers Market on Esmeralda Avenue starting at 4 p.m.

As always, we’ll be updating the site throughout the day, so please keep checking back!
