Agenda: Town of Gardnerville

The Gardnerville Town Board will discuss options for the Eagle Gas Station property at the corner of Highway 395 and Mission Street during its July monthly meeting.

The meeting is at the town offices at 1407 Highway 395 in Gardnerville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2.

Board members will discuss a work plan for the property, including demolition of existing facilities and options for proposed improvements.

In other business, the  board will:

– Discuss an ADA transition plan and award up to a $19,200 contract to conduct a sidewalk and accessible ramp survey for the town.

– Discuss  concerns expressed by two local business owners about the town’s roadside trees in the downtown sector. Discussion will include a proposal about installing a single roadside tree and sidewalk at 1462 Highway 395.

– Hear a public outreach presentation from the Desert Research Institute about conducting energy audits on small businesses and agriculture facilities to lower energy consumption and make businesses more sustainable through savings on energy bills.
