Hidden Gems: Mitch Park

Posted By on June 2, 2013

Buried in a pocket in the old Gardnerville Ranchos, Mitch Park has quietly turned into one of the nicest parks in the Valley over the past several years.

The park, located off of both Mitch and Topaz Drive and behind the Ranchos fire station, was built and is maintained by the Gardnerville Ranchos General Improvement District.

Among the many and varied features are four tennis courts with block hitting wall, well-traveled walking paths, a full fenced-in playground and a large fishing pond with concrete landings and a gazebo.

The park is rarely crowded and maintains a quiet atmosphere. The slides on the playground are a hit with the kids.
